How an Imaging Services Manager made the adjustment from NHS management to being the lead trauma radiographer in the very busy UK military hospital in Afghanistan.

1. To show how basic skills in A&E and CT radiography can be quickly brought back up to standard -no matter how long you've been in management.
2. To demonstrate the benefits that the experience can bring to the NHS.
3. To explain the benefits the experience can bring to the individual radiographer.

The impact of the arrival of military staff and patients on an NHS Radiology Department.

1. To explain the impact upon working practices that the recent influxes of military patients have had on the Trust.
2. To discuss the benefits (and challenges?) that come with employing military radiographers within and NHS department.
3. To demonstrate the benefits that the above have brought to the UHB radiology department.
